I bought this book specifically for clear and maintaining a hillside south of California. There were a variety of materials necessary to study and understand: oleander, sumac, Palm, Acacia cyclops, Pine, medlar, Hawthorne, and some I forgot.
The engine is powerful and reliable. The configuration is acceptable, given that lawyers have forced the engineers. You need to prepare for the classes they are. Oleander is great because the stems are long and thin.This thing likes to eat Oleander! Acacia Cyclops is the biggest challenge because the branches stiff will not easily in the grinder hopper. He manages to do the job. I am very satisfied with this tool.

I had this chopper / grinder for about 6 years. This is a decent machine and crushed many chipped branches and leaves of many, as we all leaves and organic materials on our 2 acre property, which has many large trees try to recycle. I used about 10 times a year, maybe 20-30 hours per year total. He had to be repaired every few years (~ $ 150) and recently repaired the blade assembly broke up and burst. Can not be repaired and replacement is $ 350 dollars - are not, so now I'm lookingstronger, reliable machine. Will check Patriot and others. The bottom line is that it's a quality environment "in-between" machine is neither heavy nor light (like many of the electrical energy).

I found that this product is just "OK"! It chips branches up to 2 "in the hopper leaves very well and the pieces are very mulch. But the blade to the 3" is useless ... Bogged down, jams and totally ineffective. I do not recommend this product if you have a really easy task for them.
